PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
Britten Storage Facility
TRAVERSE CITY, MI
AFP Specialties recently completed the design and installation of a new fire suppression system featuring a high-capacity fire pump at the Britten Storage Facility in Traverse City, Michigan. This custom system was engineered specifically to protect high-piled and rack storage areas containing Group A plastics, which are known to present elevated fire hazards due to their combustible nature.
Our team ensured full compliance with NFPA standards for warehouse fire protection, including the proper classification, spacing, and installation of sprinkler systems and fire pumps. The system was designed to deliver rapid response and adequate water flow to mitigate risk in environments with high-density plastic storage.
